Spill The Cha Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based software studio. We design, build, and run our own products — directories and tools that solve a specific, local problem well enough that people pass them along.
In Singapore, to "spill the cha" is to spill the tea — to say the thing everyone's been quietly thinking. That's the standard we hold our own products to: useful enough, specific enough, that people end up telling their friends about it unprompted.
We'd rather run three products well than maintain ten badly, so the studio stays small on purpose.
Every product starts as something we or someone we know needed and couldn't find done well — a condo directory that isn't a lead-gen funnel, a food list written by people who actually eat that way. We design for that person before we design for scale.
The team that builds a feature also answers the support email about it. That feedback loop is short by design — it's the fastest way to find out if something actually works.
We turn down work that doesn't fit — a directory nobody asked for, a feature that only helps the metrics dashboard. Fewer products, kept in good repair, beats a long list of things quietly rotting.
